Sophie is the founder of Your Marketing Department and the driving force behind its strategy-led approach to outsourced marketing.

With a background in senior marketing roles and years of experience working with ambitious SMEs, Sophie saw first-hand how often businesses were being sold disconnected tactics without any real strategic foundation. Social media here, ads there, blogs because “someone said you should” — all activity, very little clarity.

Your Marketing Department was created as the antidote.

Sophie believes marketing works best when it starts with understanding the business, the customer and the bigger picture.

Hana McCauley - Your Marketing Manager

Hana is very much one of the doers at Your Marketing Department.

She sits at the point where plans turn into action, bringing structure, pace and care to the day-to-day delivery of marketing activity across our client accounts. If something needs organising, refining or quietly improving, Hana is usually already on it.

With a background spanning sales, marketing and creative industries, Hana brings a strong understanding of how businesses actually work behind the scenes. Much of her career has been spent in luxury fashion and retail, where attention to detail, client experience and delivery standards are non-negotiable. That foundation shows in everything she does at YMD, from how campaigns are managed to how clients are supported.

Hana comes from a creative background, having studied design and worked in creative environments in London, and she still brings that visual sensitivity and craftsmanship into her marketing work today. She has a naturally analytical mindset alongside a strong eye for detail, and enjoys building systems, refining processes and finding better ways of working, whether that’s improving reporting, tightening up content workflows or making sure campaigns run smoothly from start to finish.

Curious by nature, Hana is always looking to deepen her skills and broaden her knowledge, particularly in areas that directly support our growing client base, such as SEO and website optimisation. She brings that learning straight into her day-to-day work, helping ensure marketing activity is not only well delivered but continually improving.

Hana believes marketing should make a real difference, not just create noise, and takes pride in helping clients show up well, stay consistent and move their businesses forward.

As an army spouse currently based in Cyprus, Hana is well-versed in remote working and self-management. She’s calm under pressure, highly organised and deeply reliable – the kind of person clients and colleagues alike trust to get things done properly, even when no one’s looking.
